01. Why my JAZZ / Metro so slow, can't even go uphill!?
Be realistic, your scooter is a "4-Stroke" and "50cc"...
It's nothing wrong with 4-Stroke engine, it's also ok with 50cc displacement,
but it's totally wrong for speed wise! Unless you swap engine or upgrade
it, there is no way you will have same torque as 2-Stroke 50cc scooters,
ask your friends who have 2-Stroke scooters such as HONDA
Dio or YAMAHA Vino 2-Stroke then try
it, you'll know what we are talking about.
We believe the main reason for you to bought JAZZ / Metro is "Retro-Style"
and "HONDA", so beyond these points, you have to live with
it and accept how it runs! It's just a "4-Stroke 50cc" scooter!
We have refurbished HONDA Giorno 2-Stroke 50cc in limit quantity for
sell, if you want more torque... |
 |
|
| |
02. How can I gain more power on torque / take-off?
Well, they should cursed you, because you blocked the whole traffic
line...
There are 3 ways you can gain more torque:
a). Upgrade it with bigger bore cylinder (Which is impossible! See
FAQ 04.), bigger carb, bigger everything... It
helps, ha!
b). Swap the whole engine to either a 4-Stroke 125cc, or 2-Stroke
50cc such as YAMAHA Vino.
c). Throw it away and get a 4-Stroke 125cc or 250cc scooter, since
you're a 4-Stroke lover... |
 |
|
| |
03. How fast I will get from your upgrade kit?
100km/hr!? Wake up, dude! Our STAGE 1 Power
Kit can increase some of torque, discharge the rpm limits which
controlled by ECM (Engine Control Module) within safety range, but
your engine is still "50cc"; After upgraded, you may have
15% torque increase without speed limit on top-end, maximum speed
may increase 8~10km/hr on flat ground depends on scooter's condition;
Our 2004 model got 80km/hr top-end speed during the downhill test
rides. |

04. Do you have 70cc cylinder kit for JAZZ / Metro?
We know some stores in U.S. have it; However, the big bore cylinder
kit for us means New-Molding, New-Made, New-Design on Cylinder Block
and Bigger-Valves, NOT came from a stock cylinder and bored it to
maximum size.
The stock cylinder is 39.5mm (49cc) and you can maximize it to 42.0mm
(63cc) or even bigger, actually most of stock 49cc cylinders can do
so, because they designed to take more than 4 times boring if you
seized engine, but cylinder wall will be thinner each time (0.5mm)
and somehow dangerous, please see zipped pictures.
We asked manufacturers in Japan and Taiwan back in 2004, such as:
Takegawa, KITACO, DAYTONA, KH, CHAR-Mo... etc., their answers are:
"We can make it, but only few people would buy it, because price
for customer and total cost for us are too high."
As you may ware JAZZ / Metro engine design is totally different with
other scooters, so if you want to make a new cylinder block, you've
to make new crankcase as well, the molding expense and R&D cost
will be very high. We and our manufacturers concern the Safety and
Performance at the same time, that's why even JAZZ / Metro original
engine was released at 1999 in Japan, but none of us actually making
the bigger bore kits in past 8 years. |

| |
05. Do you have high angle camshaft for JAZZ / Metro?
Yes, we do, it'll be available in Summer 2007, with camshaft and special
springs. |
 |
|
| |
06. Why I have to spend so much money to gain so little speed?
Because it's a "4-Stroke 50cc" scooter, it never runs fast...
Most people never had scooters before, so they have no comparison
to know the difference in between 4 and 2-Stroke, speed range are
totally different even they are all 4-Stroke 50cc.
The JAZZ / Metro is not made for speed, 4-Stroke liquid-cooled engine
makes upgrading expense higher, one piece cylinder crankcase design
makes molding harder, that's why most of performance parts are focus
on Transmission, Intake
and Exhaust system; Also, majority upgrade
parts come from Japan have higher retail prices, that's why SCOOTER
by jiangwayne.com is manufacturing parts with associate factories
in Taiwan, then provide the customers lower parts' prices. |

| |
07. Why 06' ~ 08' JAZZ / Metro run faster than older models?
Don't worry, your 02' JAZZ / Metro is normal... We believe HONDA changed
some electro-devices and parts in 06' U.S. / Canadian and after models,
see our ECM table for more details; Based on
our test ride, 06' JAZZ / Metro can do top speed 66km/hr on flat ground
(From stock speedometer reading.) compare with 02' model's 62km/hr,
also faster when riding downhill. |
 |
|
| |
08. What kind of gas, engine oil and coolant I could use?
There are hundreds of choices in gas station and parts' shop, but
not all of them will fit; Gas is very important for 4-Stroke engine,
we used to have 95 or 98 in Japan / Taiwan for better lubricate, so
higher Octane is better; Synthetic oil / lube always better than mineral
because it won't produce oil-mud and less longer; Also the coolant
should be same as Japanese car because the materials of radiator,
see following our recommendation:
